and Mr. Caines at the Treasury on the 13th,

and Mr. Bridges finally agreed that it was

fair for the Treasury to pay a contribution

of $100,000 this year and a further contribu- tion of $50,000 next year, providing that it

did not exceed half the total cost of the

work.
